CIRA Board of Directors 2010 Election

Ok, this is very important for every dot-ca domain investor.  CIRA (The Canadian Internet Registry Association) is holding it's annual election for it's Board of Directors.  Zak Muscovitch has announced that he is seeking a seat on the Board with the goal of increasing the recognition of Canada's internet marketplace.

In a recent article in itWorldCanada Zak states that "Canada is lagging behind other countries in online commerce and the dot-ca domain is following suit".  He goes on to say "I need a seat on CIRA's Board to push for less red tape in dot-ca registrations and to be a chanpion for increasing the value and visibility of dot-ca domain names."

This is good news for dot-ca domain investors and developers.  We need someone like Zak on CIRA's Board of Directors who is looking out for the people in the domain name industry who hold domains with the dot-ca tld.  Having Zak on the Board can only benefit the dot-ca tld.

Now this is where you and I come in.  We need Zak on the CIRA Board of Directors, and he needs are vote.  If you are not a CIRA member already, then fill out the online form and get it submitted before Monday August 30th.  Once approved, you can place your vote between September 22 to September 29, 2010. 

If you are already a CIRA member, then now is the time to enter yor "Show of Support" for Zak.  Zak needs 20 commitments in order to stand as a candidate in the Board elections.  You can shour wour support here.
